Chef’s BLEND Proceeds Support Setouchi Revitalization and Children’s Dietary & Career Education
We are pleased to report that all proceeds from the sales of Chef's BLEND, an olive oil supervised by Chef Shoji, were used to donate olive oil to the city of Etajima, where olives are grown.
The purpose of this donation is to support the revitalization of the Setouchi area, where the abandonment of cultivation is becoming a serious problem due to the aging of producers, as well as to support dietary education for children, and the olive oil will be served at elementary school lunches in Etajima City in the future.
In conjunction with the olive oil presentation ceremony, Shoji herself gave a special class to the elementary school children. This class was an opportunity for Shoji and the children to discuss food and the future, as well as to share with the children the wonderful olives and their oil in the region where they live.
We hope that this activity will contribute to the revitalization of the Setouchi area, and that it will be meaningful for the children's food education and for their future lives. We at été will continue to be actively involved in activities for the benefit of food and the people of the future.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to Olive Brand the AKI no SHIMA no MI for working with us on this project.
