Chef Shoji Gives 9th Special Class at Her Alma Mater
We are proud to share that our own Chef Shoji visited her alma mater, Komaba Gakuen High School, to give a special class for the ninth consecutive year.
In the class, Chef Shoji spoke not only about cooking techniques, but also about the realities of starting a business, fundraising, and the importance of brand building to the young people who will be the future leaders of the restaurant industry.
We also discussed the process of recycling food waste into liquid fertilizer and the results of growing and harvesting with the liquid fertilizer as part of the “Future SDGs Chef Development Project” launched four years ago in collaboration with her alma mater.
For Shoji and Team été, nurturing future chefs is an important mission and part of our social responsibility. We will continue to work for a sustainable society and the future of the food and beverage industry.
