We are pleased to announce that Chef Natsuko Shoji has won the WOMEN on the FRONTIER award. This award, presented by Harper's BAZAAR and jewelry brand Tiffany & Co., celebrates women who are at the forefront of their times and brings their glamour to the world. The award ceremony was held on October 18, 2023 at Harper's BAZAAR Japan's 10th anniversary party.
The five winners are rapper Awich, tennis player Kimiko Date, artist Kiyo Hasegawa, model and radio navigator Mira Hasegawa, and chef Natsuko Shoji. We are honored to have been selected together with these people who are truly ahead of their time in their respective fields.
I would like to thank everyone involved in Harper's BAZAAR, the jewelry brand Tiffany & Co. and everyone involved in the event. I would also like to thank all the staff, family members, and customers who have supported été and Shoji. Last but not least, all of us at été would like to congratulate Harper's BAZAAR Japan on its 10th anniversary.
Excerpt from a message from Chef Natsuko Shoji:
Such a honor to be the WOMEN on the FRONTIER.
The moderator asked me on the stage, "What motivates you to be active and creative beyond the culinary world?” I believe that the culinary world is the same as art, and that we chefs are creating masterpieces, the art of eating. There is a shortage of people to carry on this work, so my motivation is to save the producers, our craftsmen, and the future of beautiful food through activities that transcend boundaries.
I am also grateful to the staff, our parents, family , our customers, and all the people who support every event, and I deserved this trophy on behalf of all of them. Thank you, thank you!!
