AKI no SHIMA no MI × été — Extra virgin oil information release
On August 18, 2023, Chef’s BLEND, a special olive oil supervised by Natsuko Shoji, is now available from AKI no SHIMA no MI.
Chef’s BLEND is characterized by a mild taste with reduced bitterness and pungency, while maintaining the distinctive aroma of fresh olive oil. In order to maintain freshness to the last drop, we use vacuum bottles that prevent deterioration due to air.
For detailed product information, please see the reference websites at the bottom.
Proceeds from this project will be used for the reconstruction of the Setouchi area, where the problem of abandoned cultivation is becoming more serious due to the aging of citrus growers. We hope you will enjoy Japan’s world-class olive brand “AKI no SHIMA no MI” and Chef Shoji’s special olive oil.
About AKI no SHIMA no MI:
The ” AKI no SHIMA no MI” project was launched in 2008 with the sustainable purpose and desire to revitalize the region by revitalizing abandoned land in the Seto Inland Sea through olive cultivation.
In June 2021, the project’s signature product, “Aki no Shima no Mi” (Aki Island Fruit, pressed in Etajima), won the highest award at the International Olive Oil Contest held in Athens and London. In both name and reality, Japan has become a world-class olive brand.
